Taffy gives Birth

On Thursday, August 28Th, our dog Taffy gave birth to 6 puppies. It was quite the event. I was at work when Clint called me threatening me for a divorce since I always leave him home to do the dirty work. I guess all the kids were in bed when mataya heard some squeaking nosies under her bed. She thought it was a mouse and hollered at Clint to come. Instead of a mouse they found 2 puppies. They all started looking for Taffy where they found here in the living room behind a chair having another puppy. Clint was a good sport and stayed up until 3 in the morning delivering puppies. Tylee thought it was so neat and wanted to go looking around the house to find more. We cant wait till their eyes start opening. Tylee has to go kiss and hold them everyday. Taffy has been a really good mom after she figured out what to do. There are 3 darker puppies and 3 white with brown or black spots.

Grandma Perkins turns 90

Grandma Perkins turned 90 on Monday the 1st of September. They had cake and ice cream for her at the care center on Sunday. This is a picture of all the Grand and great grandchildren that were there for her party.


Tylee was more impressed with the birthday balloons.

Grandma got wore out and had to go back to bed. We did catch this 4 generation picture.

Tyce First year to Bow hunt

Tyce drew out on the Bow hunt this year. He's the only one in the family who didn't draw out for the riffle hunt, but he is quite excited about the bow hunt. We bought him a used bow that turned out to be quite nice. His dad and Grandpa Barney has been taking him out almost every night. We've seen some big deer, he's even got 3 shots but no luck yet. The other night we took Tyce out hunting just down the riverlane. We went out in Greg Excell's fields and were looking at some doe's. When Clint went to back up to turn around, up popped this big 2x3 right in front of us. It startled us and jumped away before Tyce could even get his Bow ready. The hunt ends next week so hopefully I'll have a picture posted of his deer. Tyce sure looks good in the Camo.

First Days of School 2008

Graduation Time

Mataya graduated from Kindergarten this year. Her Teacher was Mrs. Bulkley whom she loved. Mataya just loves school and will have no problems moving on to 1st grade. Their theme for graduation was aloha days.

Tyce also graduated from elementary school. He will be moving on to the big middle school where he will have to deal with his Dad everyday. Tyce got chosen to speak in his graduation ceremony. He did his talk all by his self. We were very proud of him.

Natashia Graduated from Middle school. She will be a big freshman.

School Clothes Shopping in Vegas

The weekend after the 24th of July, we took the family to Vegas to go school clothes shopping. We actually had a real good time. The first night we were there we stayed at the Paris. The upgraded our room to a big suite that had the jetted tub and 2 different bathrooms. The kids just thought we were super special. We walked the strip that night with all 5 of our kids and watched the water show.

The next 2 nights we stayed at the Rio. We shopped everyday and the malls of course and the kids found them a lot of school clothes. This is how we spent the afternoons enjoying the pool.

Also one afternoon, we took the kids to the Shark Reef. The Kids, especially Tylee, thought this was too cool. Anyway it was a fun trip and now we are ready for school to start.

Baseball in 2008

Tyce's Team won the B state tournament that was held in Panguitch this year. Tyce is an excellent ball player. He mostly plays catcher, pitcher and shortstop. He has to live with his Dad because Clint has coached them all year and is pretty tough on his own kids. For winning state they got these nice trophy's and a hat. For the Championship game Tyce got up to bat and hit one that went over the fence but was just barely foul. Some guy sitting next to me said well that kid will never be able to do that again, after 2 more pitches Tyce whooped one over again this time fair for a home run.
Here is the winning team of 11-12 year old boys. They are a cute bunch of boys.

This year this bunch of boys also won the Richfield baseball tournament which was a great accomplishment, since we were the only 1A school there.

Mataya played T-ball this year. She was one of the oldest in T-ball so she was pretty good. Christy Evans and I was her coach. We had a fun year and it went by fast.
Trey had a successful year on the 9-10 year old team. His team did ok in the regular season. His coach was Mr. Taylor. He played pitcher, catcher, shortstop and 3rd base. He stood out for a 9 year old and was chosen for an end of year all star team.
This was the Kanab tournament where the all stars took 1st place. Trey hit one clear over the fence in one of the games. Everyone wondered who's kid that was. So now he's known as a power hitter and when he gets up everyone moves toward the fence.
The celebration
This year, Panguitch brought in the South West Regional 9 and under group. Panguitch got to play in the tournament because we were the host team. There was 16 teams from California, Arizona, Nevada, Guam, and Hawaii. We actually won 2 games which surprised a lot of people and actually was one game away from making it to the top 4 tournament. This was Trey after the last game. He got the player of the game award. He came in and pitched the last 2 innings and didn't let anyone score. He also got some nice hits. We were very proud of him.
